Every little bit will help us to repair our home so it is a safe place for my children. Please share if you are unable to give.

It is not in my nature to request help or money. However, it is my last resort to ensure our home will remain livable. Here is what I have been doing to get this accomplished. I have attempted to get a loan. Even with good credit cannot get a personal or equity loan. I assisted my daughter with replacing her vehicle. Due to that debt to income is too high. I changed jobs to increase my pay despite my health issues that make it a daily challenge. It will be at minimum of ten months before the pay will increase to what is need to survive this economy. Our home nearly caught fire damaging our breaker box. It is only a matter of time before it stops working fully. ( Our home is all electric) I pray it lasts through the winter months. I have contacted contractors and electricians to inquire about repair costs. All are beyond my means currently.

To replace my breaker box and move to keep it up to code is between 4,000.00-5,000.00. (That was the cheapest I found.)

Materials to replace exterior/interior damaged walls. Going bare minimum around 8,000.00-10,000.00. That would include renting hydraulic jacks and equipment to dig around the perimeter of the house to lift and stabilize. (House has sank 7 inches within the last several months on one side. Causing severe structural damage. Including leaning 2 inches towards my driveway) Walking around the exterior of my home you can see the bowing of the walls. The cracking in the covering to the foundation. You can see the areas of the roof that boards are beginning to buckle from the shifting one area has already broken under the stress.

Contractor estimate was 120,000.00 just from looking at the exterior.

My roof is breaking and leaking needs replaced. I have not done the material estimates for that yet. It barely can hold the weight of my teenage son.

I have not included cost of other materials paint or cabinets that were water damaged. Just what is needed to make the home structurally sound and to remain with power.

I have spoken with an attorney. I found many things that were hidden at time of purchase. That would have stopped me from choosing to buy this home. 3,000.00 to retain them to bring this situation to court. I should not have this much to repair in a short period of time owning this house. I have a contractor willing to repair my home but will need materials in order to help my children and I. Please help by sharing. I really do not know what else to do.
