I am creating this campaign to raise funds for all 21 members of the Tayseer Abu Jalhoum family who are facing struggles in Gaza that no one should bear alone. I have become very close to them throughout this war, so I am doing everything possible and stepping forward to help lift this family up. Hello, my friends,

I hope this message finds you safe and well, as safety is all I wish for every human in the whole world; we are the Tayseer family, a family of 21 members including father, mother, great grandparents, brothers, sisters, and many young children. We're writing to you from the most unsafe place in the world, Gaza City, where the ongoing violence and oppression have turned every day into a battle for survival. We have known hardship all too well for many years, enduring the relentless challenges of living in a conflict zone. Yet, the current situation has plunged us into even more profound despair, facing homelessness, hunger, and illness.

Imagine waking up to the continuous sounds of bombing. Our children hide under tables, afraid of the harm caused by the shells falling around them. As parents, we feel helpless in protecting them and powerless to provide them with safe shelter. We endure constant fear for our lives and face unimaginable challenges without any relief. Adding to our suffering is the deliberate targeting of hospitals, leaving many, including our family, feeling completely helpless and unable to access the basic medical care we desperately need.

Our parents rely on medication constantly due to various health issues they face. My mom experiences frequent chest discomfort, which has worsened due to the smoke from the fire nearby. We're doing everything we can to gather enough funds not only to cover the expenses of her urgently needed surgery—a cholecystectomy—but also to purchase the essential medications that will help manage her condition and improve her quality of life.

In the blink of an eye, our lives were upended, our homes lost, and our dreams shattered. We also lost many relatives and friends. Displaced more than 4 times in search of safety, we have faced the harsh reality that there seems to be no sanctuary from the ongoing violence and instability.

With each passing day, the urgency of our situation intensifies. Your support is not just a lifeline; it's a beacon of hope amidst the darkness. Together, we can make a difference. Your help means that we're not just numbers; their lives matter and deserve to continue despite everything.

We now live in a tent, risking getting killed at any moment. It is a tent that buries all our dreams, where we sleep every night in the shivering cold, waking up sick in the stomach every day. It has made privacy a luxury we can scarcely afford in this cramped, shared space.

Finding food in our current situation has become a near-impossible task; supplies are scarce, and when we locate some, the prices are outrageous. A small pack of water can cost upwards of $50, and eggs, fish, meat, and poultry are not found. Tents, which should provide basic shelter, are priced at an exorbitant 3,000, while essential medicine and food costs continue to soar daily.

This has led to a drastic decline in our health, with dramatic weight loss due to malnutrition. We constantly battle weakness, rendering us incapable of even the simplest tasks. Accessing drinking water presents another struggle as we try to find any available source. Often, our efforts are in vain, leaving us with no choice but to consume contaminated water, further compromising our wellbeing.

The health and wellbeing of everyone in Gaza are rapidly deteriorating; illness and injury have become universal experiences, and starvation looms over all of us. Our situation feels dire and hopeless as we cling to the faint hope of relief that seems increasingly distant.

I understand that times are tough for everyone, but any contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant impact on our lives. Your support will not only help us escape the ongoing genocide in Gaza but will also give my family a chance to rebuild our lives and find stability.
