Dear friends, my name is Walaa Elhelu. I’m a mother of three children, and I’m reaching out to you from Gaza, Palestine. I’ve requested this campaign because my family are in desperate need of access to clean water, shelter, clothing and food.

We’ve been forced from our homes and we are now struggling to secure even the most basic necessities of life. Each day is a battle against the harsh conditions we face in these unlivable shelters. The rapid spread of disease, famine, and constant fear has become our new reality.

What’s the hardest thing to bear is that we have to pay for everything ourselves—whether it’s the scarce meat, fruit, and vegetables from expensive street sellers or the clean water delivered by costly trucks.

Your donations will go directly towards purchasing clean water, food and clothing for my family and this will make a significant difference in our daily struggle for survival.
