Help Support Undocumented Workers Affected by the Eaton Canyon Wildfires

Hello, I'm a community member of the Altadena/Pasadena area. I'm organizing this fund for domestic workers in the area who need assistance IMMEDIATELY. They are workers that have lost their job as housekeepers, gardeners, construction workers, etc. These community members reside in Altadena/Pasadena and have lost both their home and job. This fund is only temporary assistance for them and hope other organizations can provide long term assistance as the situation unfolds.

The recent wildfires in Eaton Canyon have devastated homes, businesses, and livelihoods. Among those hardest hit are our undocumented neighbors who, despite their vital contributions to our communities, often lack the resources and support to recover in times of crisis.

These workers are vital to our communities and need your help now more than ever.

Undocumented individuals are excluded from most federal and state disaster relief programs, leaving them vulnerable in emergencies like these. Many of them have lost their homes, jobs, and personal belongings in the fire. Without access to financial assistance, they face an uncertain future while continuing to navigate the challenges of living without legal status.

This emergency fund aims to provide immediate support to those who have been affected by the Eaton Canyon wildfires. Donations will go directly to them and be used for:

Emergency housing assistance

Food and basic necessities

Medical expenses and supplies

Rebuilding efforts for their homes and businesses
