My name is Crystal, sister-in-law of Dale Quest. Dale is from the village of New Works in Westmoreland, just 7 miles up the mountains from New Hope, where hurricane Melissa made landfall. All of his extended family live in the area and were heavily impacted. The community is cut off and completely devastated by this violent storm. This area is one of the hardest hit. Please help the Quest Family as they are in urgent need of food, shelter, and basic supplies.
The hurricane blew away Dale's house and the roof of his grandmother's Mildred house. There is no water or electricity, no leaves or branches left on what was once a lush mountain jungle landscape. Items are strewn around the property. There is little left. The house where they were sheltering had its front door and all windows blown in during the storm. His grandmother's shop was blown away, and the family is left without a livelihood. They need basic survival supplies, clothing, food, solar lights, and hygiene items. The village of New works is isolated, and relief efforts have not yet arrived. They fear famine and despair. Please join in an effort to provide emergency supplies, rebuild Dale's home, bring water and electricity, and rebuild the roof. They are people of great faith, and need encouragement in this hour of need. This is an opportunity to be the hands of compassion in the lives of those who need it most. Please join us in our Quest to bring hope to the people of New Works.
