Urgent Relief for Hurricane Melissa Survivors in Jamaica
0% complete
$600 raised of
5 donations
Hi, My name is Jhoniel. I am a Jamaican seeking help for several of my family members and fellow Jamaicans in my hometown Cave, and surrounding communities dispersed across the parishes of Westmoreland, Hanover, St. James, St. Elizabeth, Trelawny and Manchester who have been greatly affected by category 5 hurricane Melissa, which made landfall in western Jamaica, leaving our homes, schools, churches, hospitals, businesses, towns and communities completely unrecognizable. A lot of our family members are still out of reach and we are unable to effectively communicate due to power lines and communication lines are currently nonfunctional. Majority of Western Jamaica has been affected to the point of homelessness with little to no access to food, water or any other necessities and we are looking for any help we can to get food, water, toiletries, etc and if possible make some repairs to what is left of our buildings until we can fully recuperate.
If you'd like to contribute, you can send care packages or select items from the list below. Please reach out to me directly so we can coordinate. Cash donations of any amount are also deeply appreciated as every bit helps.
