Urgent Relief for Gaza Family Devastated by War

Donation protected

My name is Nour Younis, I am a 21-year-old pharmaceutical student living in Gaza with my parents and three brothers Fadi, Hassan , Mohannad aged 18, 15, and 13 years

I'm sharing my story because I need your urgent help .

Before the war, my family like many other Gazans, faced economic hardship. My mother, the pillar of our household and a teacher, provided for us while my father struggled to find consistent work due to Gaza's high unemployment rate, despite the challenges, we managed to maintain a sense of normalcy in our home in northern Gaza.

Since October 2023 our home, my university, and my mother's school were destroyed in the bombings.
The bombing forced us to flee, seeking refuge in Rafah with distant relatives. We now share a small apartment with several others, surviving on very small portions of food some days it is just a single can of beans for all of us. While we're grateful for what we have, the unclean water and poor sanitation has a bad effect on our health.
My mother has fallen ill feeling sick for days now with no access to medical care, getting her proper treatment seems impossible.

There's nothing left for us in Gaza no home, no schools to return to. Leaving Gaza feels like our only option, but it is a costly dream. An Egyptian company listed as ( Hala) charges $5,000 per person to coordinate crossing into Egypt for a chance at safety. They call it the price of freedom.

On 10 May , 2024 :

Today I will tell you my story after we were displaced again from Rafah to KhanYunis. My uncle, who lives abroad, created this campaign to help me and my family get out to safety, but unfortunately it is too late before we get there. We collect the amount required to go to Egypt. Now, with a heavy heart, I tell my story, from a small apartment we shared with many families to a tent in Khan Yunis without water, without electricity, without food.

This is the day of our displacement. It was the most difficult day for us. We set off without knowing what our destination was.

We slept on the street for two days in a row

We didn't even have a tent, so we needed to make our own. We bought some wood and covered it with sheets.

Unfortunately, these covers were of no use. Our tent was flooded as soon as a storm passed

After our hope was to go to safety, we now hope to find clean water or cooking gas. We are suffering greatly from lack of food. We hope to use the donations to escape the nightmare we are living in Gaza. In addition to that, we want to use donations to obtain essentials such as food, clothes, and other personal items that we lost when our home in northern Gaza was destroyed.

We have been threatened several times to go to safe areas. These are the safe areas!!

As I conclude my story, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to you for taking the time to look into our pain. Your compassion and support mean more than words can express and with your help we can escape this living hell and begin to rebuild our shattered lives and restore hope for a better future. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant difference in our journey toward healing and peace.

We plan to use the donations to be evacuated from the war zone via the company (HALA), seeking a temporary shelter from the chaos. Your support is not just a lifeline for my family and me but also a beacon of hope amidst the darkness of war. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us and offering your generous help.
