Hello, I'm Adriana, living in the UK, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Ahmed Abuqeblan. Ahmed, a Palestinian from Gaza, now lives as a refugee in the UK. Unfortunately, his sisters and their children are amongst the millions of Gazans trapped in the horrors of the current genocide. We are raising this fund partly to help his family escape the horrors that unfold every minute in Gaza, as the powers of the world have failed to put a stop to it.

Alaa I M Abuqeblan, one of Ahmed’s sisters, had to evacuate her house months ago when the attacks began. She has been sheltering with her 4 kids, ranging from 12 to 4 years of age, in an overcrowded school in Khan Yunis, which is no safer than any other zone. She has been the sole provider of her kids after her recent divorce. Similarly, Rania, another one of his sisters, and her family were forced out of their home after the invasion began. Now, they're trying to survive under tents in Rafah with their 6 children, the youngest just 4 years old. As many of us have seen and heard, the conditions are dire – scarcity of food, barely available and often polluted water, lack of sanitation, unbearable cold, and constant fear. Imagine enduring this as a parent—it's unimaginable, so they have been desperately trying to take her children to safety.

Since the beginning of the ongoing attacks, the only way out of Gaza is through Egypt, but unfortunately for those who do not hold another passport the only option is to pay a “permit fee” to cross the border. This small hope to freedom has a current price that ranges from $5,000 to $10,000 per adult and $2,000 to $5,000 per children. Therefore, the money raised will pay the permit fee to exit to Egypt of 3 adults (two sisters, one husband) and 10 kids (4 from Alaa and 6 from Rania). All funds will be transferred to them directly.

The extra money obtained from the fund will be destined to Ahmed’s third sister, Areej I M Abusaasa. She, her husband and their 3 kids (the youngest only 3 years old) have made the tough decision to stay in Gaza. Like countless others in Gaza, they've lost everything – their home, savings, dreams, and loved ones. After watching their recently built home bombed to the ground, they escaped to Rafah, where they are currently sheltering in tents and surviving under very tough conditions. With everything going on it has resulted almost impossible to obtain an income, and the limited food supplies have become so costly that they are now beyond the means of many (yes, even donated items are being sold). So, whatever we can raise for them, will use to afford basic necessities.

In summary, we have created this fund to be able to evacuate Ahmed’s family to Egypt and to help Areej and her family to procure basic needs. Your donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in Ahmed’s family situation. Any donation you make will help drive them to safety outside of the ongoing slaughter in Gaza.

Hola, soy Adriana, vivo en el Reino Unido y les escribo en nombre de mi querido amigo Ahmed Abuqeblan. Ahmed, un palestino de Gaza, ahora vive como refugiado en el Reino Unido. Desafortunadamente, sus hermanas e hijos se encuentran entre los millones de habitantes de Gaza atrapados en los horrores del genocidio actual. Desde el comienzo de los ataques actuales, la única manera de salir de Gaza es a través de Egipto, pero desafortunadamente para aquellos que no tienen otro pasaporte la única opción es pagar una “tarifa de permiso” para cruzar la frontera. Esta pequeña esperanza de libertad tiene un precio actual que oscila entre los $5.000 y $10.000 dólares por adulto y entre los $2.000 y $5.000 dólares por niño. Por lo tanto, el dinero recaudado servirá para pagar el permiso de salida a Egipto de 3 adultos (dos hermanas, un esposo) y 10 niños (4 de Alaa y 6 de Rania). Todos los fondos les serán transferidos a ellos directamente. El dinero extra obtenido del fondo se destinará a la tercera hermana de Ahmed, Areej I M Abusaasa. Entonces, todo lo que podamos recaudar para ellos, lo utilizaremos para cubrir sus necesidades básicas. En resumen, hemos creado este fondo para poder evacuar a la familia de Ahmed a Egipto y ayudar a Areej y su familia a cubrir sus necesidades básicas.
