He was martyred in the pursuit of a living, a morsel stained with blood. He went to get a bag of flour but came back carried on shoulders. His departure was not easy, but life has become more difficult because he was the eldest brother and my father is old and cannot bear the difficulties of life. Now my father suffers a lot to get water. He goes very long distances. Now we live in hunger that gnaws at our bodies and death pursues our people. There is no safety in Gaza. We live in a tent. Life in a tent is very difficult. We cannot bear the heat. The heat burns our bodies in the summer, and in the winter, the bitter cold seeps into our bones. We are very tired. Please help us, even if it is a little. We need you to stand by my family in these difficult circumstances. We are facing great difficulty in obtaining food and flour because we are living in a great famine, and the prices of food items are high in the markets.
