Please help families, from my hometown of Consolacion, Cebu in the Philippines, after tragic devastation from Hurricane Tino.

Much of my hometown of Consolacion, Cebu in the Philippines, has been recently devastated by Hurricane Tino, a Category 4, with winds up to 140 mph that caused massive flash flooding and destruction.

So many families in this community, including my cousins and neighbors, have lost everything: their homes, belongings and everything in their small businesses. The people in need are hardworking, humble and some of the most generous people I know. They’re the kind of people that would cook for days and give from the little they have, to make you the best meal of your life.

There’s very little government aid reaching these areas, so people have been relying on each other to survive but it’s become overwhelming. They’re struggling without clean water, food, clothing, or safe shelter. My cousins Helen and Sarah, whose own homes were greatly affected, are now staying in my mother’s house in a higher part of Consolacion that was spared. Both are helping coordinate support and will make sure that every dollar of your donation goes directly to those who need it most. The funds raised will provide immediate relief: food, clean water, and clothing… as well as materials to help families rebuild their homes and small businesses.

Please if you can give them hope and spare $5, $10, or $20, or as much as you can give… every bit counts and brings faith to families who’ve lost everything.
