Urgent Relief for Burma's Earthquake Victims
Donation protected
As many of you know, I am from Burma (Myanmar) and I still have family in Burma. My family was safe in the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that hit the country on Friday. However, many people were not as fortunate, and the death toll rises over 1,600 at this time.
Disaster response is extremely challenging in Burma, one of Asia’s poorest nations, reeling from a civil war sparked by a 2021 military coup. Weak infrastructure, communications blackouts, and damaged roads are making it challenging to reach people who need help.
My sister, who resides in Burma, a retired doctor, is gathering food, water, and blankets to help the people on the ground who have become homeless and have nothing left.
I am raising money to send directly to my sister so she can continue to supply food, water, and blankets for people in need.
My heart is filled with gratitude for your contribution and know that every cent of this funding is going straight to the people of Burma who need help right now.
