Urgent Relief for Ashley, Ben, and Baby Theo

Patty Wood and Tracey Saporito here. As most of you know we have a beautiful, loving caring granddaughter/daughter Ashley Duplessis. She and her Fiancé’ Ben Randall, and their precious baby boy Theo (16 months) have even displaced due to Hurricane Helene. They live in the mountain area of Asheville, NC. On Saturday September 28, 2024 they were told to evacuate immediately. The picture posted is what they saw happen to the apartment building located right next to theirs. They had no cell service, so they unfortunately were unable to communicate with us. They were able to get to safety later that night. Ashley was raised in FL , so she is very familiar with hurricane destruction. When she was able to reach us, she said she has never been so scared in her whole life. Our hearts were and continue to break for her. They are in a hotel now. They are paying for everything they need. No federal services are available yet. Ben’s employers facility has been destroyed. He is not able to file for unemployment yet either. The National Guard has checked in on them.

They literally have lost everything tangible to them. Most of us know how quickly babies go through supplies, let alone all his books and toys are still in the apartment they

“had”. Their area is still literally underwater. They are scared, alone, and far from family. There currently is no end in sight for them. The city’s water system was destroyed, let alone no other utilities being available.

Putting politics aside, anything you may be able to donate would be greatly appreciated.
