My name is Rose, I am from NY and I am asking assistance for a family on behalf of a dear friend and colleague DoralE. Today, we are reaching out for the urgent support for a family with young babies who has lost everything in the wake of the devastating Hurricane Melissa that hit Jamaica recently. The family resides in the west part of the island, which was crushed by this category 5 hurricane on 10-28-2025. As you can see from the photos, the aftermath of this hurricane has been extremely destructive, to say the least. There is currently no electricity nor running water which has made the situation even worse. This family is now homeless and is struggling to find food and clean water.

Sadly, their father also passed away not too long ago, so they are in dire need of your help as the mother is struggling to make ends meet. Through scarcity, the price of food and other necessary products has also risen. The young ones are hungry and are barely able to get by. They could use any assistance they can get at this time. They are truly frightened as these worsening conditions have become unbearable.

They urgently need your support to survive and start rebuilding a life after Melissa’s catastrophic path of destruction. Every donation will go directly towards providing them with clean water, food, sanitary products, and basic supplies to get through this crisis, as well as to the purchase of materials to start rebuilding their home.
