Urgent Facial Reconstructive Surgery for College Student

Donation protected
This is the year for rebuilding my life—both physically and emotionally. The neglect and abuse I experienced as a child have caused severe damage to my face and teeth, which now interfere
with essential functions like breathing, eating, and sleeping. This damage causes constant,
unrelenting pain every single day.

On Halloween, I underwent an emergency procedure to remove my front teeth and address an infection in my nasal bones and skull. Unfortunately, this procedure led to serious complications, which I had to pay to resolve, leaving me with nearly $5,000 in medical debt. Now, I face the urgent need for additional surgeries.

My condition is severe enough that only one surgical team in my area is equipped to handle it. The total cost will be tens of thousands of dollars, much of which I must pay out of pocket. The first $18,000 raised will fund the repair of my nose, addressing the breaks and septum damage that impair my breathing. The next $12,000 will go toward what insurance won’t cover for the surgery to reconstruct my jaw and skull. Any remaining funds will be applied to the third
surgery, scheduled months later, to remove hardware and to pay off any remaining debt from my previous procedure.

Delaying the surgeries will increase their complexity due to the continued solidification of my bone structure, which I have been informed by doctors is nearing completion. Therefore, my
goal is to have the first surgery in the next 30 days, the second by the end of March and the last procedure during the summer. My goal is to minimize time away from work as much as possible, and time these out so I can begin my studies at the university this fall as planned.

As a college student, mother, and foster mother, I have no means to fund these surgeries on my own. Asking for help is difficult for me, but I have no other options. Living free from this pain is
a critical step in putting my life back together and moving beyond the challenges of my childhood.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any help you can provide. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me closer to a pain-free life and a brighter future.
Please share my story and know I am deeply grateful.
