Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my best friend, Steph, who is currently facing one of the most heartbreaking and difficult moments of her life. Steph is not only a devoted mother of three young boys but also one of the kindest, most selfless individuals you’ll ever meet. Over the years, she has raised more than £50,000 for charity despite battling her own personal challenges. Today, she needs our help.
In September 2020, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and fought bravely to overcome it, beating it in 2021. Unfortunately, the victory came with a heavy price, as she was left with just one breast. In February 2024, she underwent reconstructive surgery, hoping to restore what cancer had taken away. Sadly, things went terribly wrong, and instead of healing, the surgery left her critically ill and with severe, life-changing deformities.
After meeting with a private surgeon on September 14th, we learned the full extent of the damage caused by the NHS treatment, and the necessary corrective surgery is far more expensive than we had anticipated, coming in at around £50000. The NHS has not only failed to provide the level of care she deserved, but she is now left with physical and emotional scars that she struggles to come to terms with every day.
This next surgery is crucial. It’s not just about correcting the disfigurement; it’s about restoring her quality of life. She’s living in pain, and the damage to her body has shattered her confidence and impacted her mental health. She deserves the chance to live without constant pain, regain her self-esteem, and finally move past this traumatic chapter.
We’ve already raised a significant amount of money, but the costs are much higher than we expected. We’re humbly asking for your support to help cover the medical expenses, surgeries, and recovery care that she desperately needs.
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference. If you can’t contribute financially, sharing this page would mean the world to us and help spread the word.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your kindness and generosity. Your support means more than words can express and will help my best friend on her journey to healing.
