Urgent: Ray's Heart Needs Your Help

My brother, Ray Cobb, is currently at Moses Cone Hospital and in need of a costly heart procedure. Ray is only 58 years old, and we want to see him spend time with his family, especially his grandkids.

He went into the hospital 3 weeks ago with blood sugar levels at 390 and found out he had a blood clot in his heart valve that was restricting blood flow, causing an enlarged heart. After further tests, we then found out his heart is functioning at 10%. The doctors gave him grim news since this is end-stage heart failure. This is extremely scary news and there is a heart procedure that can be done; however, the unfortunate part is Ray does not have insurance. Without insurance, the procedure will not happen.

Trust me, as a family, we have reached out to Duke, UNC, and Wake Forest, and the final answer is he must have insurance. So, to continue this fight, we have put in appeals with insurance companies and are now reaching out within our Facebook network for help. Ray is an extremely proud country boy, and this is hard for him to ask for help. His family wants to give him every bit of hope that we possibly can.
