Help Save Brownie After Trauma & Severe Injury

Hi, my name is Kiki, and I’m raising emergency funds for my dog Brownie, who suffered a traumatic experience that worsened an already serious injury. She urgently needs vet care to prevent infection, remove a possible embedded foxtail, and begin healing.

This started with a wound caused likely by a foxtail that lodged itself into her. She had been in pain and showing signs of distress, and I desperately asked others for help.

Instead of helping properly, they forced a sock over her face, using it to choke and restrain her. Brownie was thrashing, panicking, and gurgling, struggling for air, and I screamed for them to stop. They only took it off after she went limp from sheer exhaustion and terror.

She didn’t pass out, but she had no fight left in her. And when it was over, she was barely breathing, covered in blood, and absolutely traumatized. She was so frightened she lost control of her bowels and bladder—something she has never done before.

The wound she already had is now much worse—open, raw, and bleeding, with visible possible tissue exposed (photos below). I believe the foxtail may still be embedded, and the trauma from this incident has made her condition far more dangerous.

What We Need:

Brownie needs immediate care. The estimated cost is $750–$2,000, and includes:

Emergency exam

Sedation and pain relief

Possible foreign object removal (foxtail)

Deep wound cleaning and treatment

Antibiotics, stitches, and follow-up care

Potential overnight monitoring

I’ve already sacrificed what little I have; I won’t be able to afford food for myself for the coming weeks, but I refuse to let her suffer while I do nothing. She’s everything to me.
