Hi everyone,
On Thursday, February 26th, my mom was rushed to the ICU and placed into a medically induced coma and on life support to control swelling in her brain. It was the scariest moment of my life.
She is awake now and out of the hospital, and I’m so grateful she’s still here. But she’s still recovering, and everything that’s happened has created overwhelming financial stress.
While she was in the hospital, I was using her car to go back and forth to see her. When I came back outside one day, it was being repossessed. That car was her only transportation — something she had already put so much money into trying to keep.
Right now, we have only a few weeks to come up with at least $4,500 to get it back before the balance increases further or it’s sold at auction. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
I’m 18 years old and work a minimum wage job. That amount is about five months of my income. There’s no way I can raise that on my own in time.
My mom has worked so hard, and she’s already invested so much into this car. Losing it while she’s trying to recover from something so serious would be another devastating setback. It’s not just transportation — it’s her ability to get to work, rebuild stability, and move forward after this medical emergency.
I hate asking for help, but we are running out of time. If you can donate anything at all, even a small amount, it truly makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing this could help us reach someone who can.
I just want my mom to focus on healing without the fear of losing the only thing she worked so hard to hold onto.
Thank you for reading and for caring
