Dear Kind Hearts
My name is Buddy , I'm a fun, playful dog who brings joy and laughter to everyone around, especially children .
I’m also known for my mischievous misadventures with the neighborhood kids - whether it’s bounding down slides with them, racing them on scooters or impressively bouncing on trampolines which is my favourite thing to do.
However, lately, I've been experiencing chronic pain in my back leg, as I dislocated my knee in the same back leg whereby I have a cruciate ligament problem / patella disease. I feel so depressed because as well as the pain I can't go out to the park anymore and play with the kids I adore. I can only walk for about 10 mins then have to go back home and lay down because of the pain.
My vet says I need a specialist operation to save my leg or I will have to have my leg amputated.
Please don't let them amputate my leg the children already miss playing with me and the exciting tricks we used to do together. I miss those moments just as much as they do.
If my leg is amputated, I won’t be able to play the same games, or perform the tricks that make them laugh and smile.
You may ask why not amputate my leg but I've been told by the vets my other back leg is 90÷ sure to get the same disease too. Therefore I will need to keep this leg so when it happens I have one good working leg to rely on so that I can recover from another operation.
And my owner will hopefully be able to go back to work as at the moment she is her dads full time carer due to him having a major stroke.
Please give whatever you can to my fundraiser and save my leg so I can play and run down the slide etc. with the children again.
From my loving owner:
I am writing on behalf of my beloved dog, Buddy, who has been my constant companion and a source of strength during some very difficult times . Buddy is a very special dog as he brings an incredible amount of happiness not just to me but to everyone he meets, especially all the children in our local parks they absolutely adore him. It is breaking my heart that for the past ten months, Buddy has been living in pain and has been unable tongo to the park or walk for more than ten minutes at a time.
Buddy has been through hell the past year with the appalling treatment he received from his previous vets, as despite being fully aware of the severity of his condition and the level of pain he was experiencing they cancelled his surgery three times. After making a complaint and requesting his medical history I have since learned that his condition required far more urgent and specialist treatment than he received. During this time his leg has deteriorated further.
They have now referred him for a specialist operation however the cost of the specialist surgery is £5,000.
So far I have managed to raise £2,500 myself, along with very kind amazing donations of £385.00 Thank you ,
However, we need another £2,115. to secure Buddy’s operation
Please help to raise the rest of the funds and donate whatever you can. We would be grateful for any amount as even a £10 donation will bring us one step closer to giving Buddy his operation because if 10 people donated £10 that would be another hundred pounds towards his operation and give Buddy the chance to live a fun painfree normal life again.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and please share this to as many people and media sites as you can.
Thank you all for your kind donations
Your support & kindness mean the world to Buddy and me.❤️
Buddy and Louise
