Hi, most of you know me. For those that don’t I’m Dee, Danielle’s mother.

Here is my 38 year old daughter’s Journey :

April 25, 2024 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fought long and hard for a year and some change:

16 rounds of chemo-the first 4 being brutal.

November 13th she had a double mastectomy, with the start of reconstruction. 2 weeks after surgery she was notified that the cancer was in her lymph nodes. She learned she would need 28 radiation treatments. How ever due to the side effects of the lymph node removal and mastectomy she couldn’t get her arm above her head for the simulation to start radiation. She had to work hard at PT to get her range of motion back to complete radiation. That took about 6 weeks. No treatment for 6 weeks. She needed to finish radiation before starting hormone therapy which is what is needed to keep estrogen out her body. It’s what feeds her cancer. Fast forward to today, she had scans last week and they didn’t come back as we’d hoped. There is a new part solid 1.8cm nodule on her upper right lung(same side her cancer is on). That nodule wasn’t there 4 months ago, it’s growing fast. We don’t know what it is. She also has some kind of obstruction in her kidneys. Here is the kicker with all this new information presented to us Medicaid again for the 5th time has denied her a PET scan which she so desperately needs now. We’re scared and heartbroken to not know what’s going on. And it’s cruel to make someone wait this long. If anyone can help out, we are trying to raise the money to get her a pet scan. If you can’t donate we understand the tough times. Danielle is heavily relying on God and would love prayers in support. WE thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
