Hello everyone, My name is Carrie and I am organizing this GFM for my friend Abeer and her family of 5 who are trapped in Northern Gaza.

Currently it costs no less than $7000/per person to evacuate from Gaza, and that's if you can get to a crossing without injury or death. There has been no fresh food to enter for months and Abeer and her family are surviving on canned goods and dried food items that provide inadequate nutrition for her family of 5.

Abeer is a 36 year-old mother of 6 children, 3 of whom are still living today. Her family consists of:

Abeer and her family have been displaced 4 times in the past year and are currently living moment to moment with the IOF closer than ever before. She is afraid for her children's lives and that she may be unable to get pregnant again in these hard times.

From Abeer: "I am afraid for my children, they need good nutrition and there is no food, fruits or vegetables. We eat canned peas, chickpeas, beans and a few lentils, and my baby son I breastfeed him. If vegetables are available, the price is very high. I've been cooking food for my children over a fire for a year now because we don't have cooking gas or electricity. We get electricity from solar power, but not all the time.

We also have a small farm that used to have beehives from which we made honey (as well as) sheep, ducks, chickens and pigeons. But now we don't know anything about it, as it is in a place that has become a military zone for the Israeli army and may have been bulldozed...(including) my husband's goods related to his work."
