The Carma Animal Shelter in Lebanon is facing an urgent situation. Following notice from the municipality, the team had no choice but to leave their existing site, during a war, no less.
Thanks to swift action and the support of this community, they have secured new land, but the reality is this: relocation comes with immediate and significant cost.
This is not a planned move. It is a race against time to ensure that over 100 vulnerable dogs do not lose the only safety they have.
Right now, with our heartfelt help, Carma must cover essential relocation costs:
- Temporary rent for the new land
- Transporting dogs safely
- Moving materials and caravans
- Re-establishing water and electricity
- Paying workers supporting the move
Carma operates in one of the most challenging environments for animal welfare. They also currently do not receive government funding, and the entire operation is volunteer-led.
Many of the dogs in their care are injured, disabled, or recovering from trauma. Without this shelter, they have nowhere to go, and this is the moment when small contributions matter most.
A donation of $25, $30, $50 or more directly helps secure stability in the coming days.
Without immediate support, the risk is that the shelter will not be able to sustain this move. If you have ever loved a dog, this is a chance to protect all the things you love for those who would otherwise be left behind. ❤️
Your support today is essential. Thank you so much for standing with Carma!
All our love,
Chelsea Brown and team
