So without turning into a TLDR, our family (Myself, my wife, our 15 year old daughter, and my dad.) found out the carshop we've been going to for almost a decade has been screwing us over without our knowledge. And now our poor little Sweet Pea (A 99 Subaru Outback Legacy) has 3.5K worth of damage and neglect that a second car shop made us aware of. The Kelley Blue Book says she's not worth the price it would cost to fix her, so we'd like to try and get a new used car instead. We're asking for 4K to get a used car, get it tagged, and insured. This has been a real struggle for our family, as my wife and I, who are both chronically ill and live with chronic pain (I have POTS and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and my wife has Multiple Sclerosis and Ehlers Danlos.) and we're having to walk everywhere. While we do have a wonderful friend who has been willing to give us a ride now and then, they are not always available due to their own schedule and life. Which we are completely understanding of.

We're still recovering from having to walk almost 4 miles the other day when I needed a refill on my pain meds, as well as some groceries, and we've been in serious pain/struggling with reduced mobility ever since. To further elaborate on that, my wife's hip and one leg has been going in and out of joint since the walk. While my dislocations seem to be happening all over my body. In total, we've walked almost 8 miles in less than a week.

Due to having no transportation, we also got a late fee slapped onto our rent, despite having $550 of the $750 we pay every month and having never missed a payment the entire 2 years we've rented from our landlord. We had the money but could not withdraw it all at once due to lack of transportation. The late fee was a surprise as we have never had a previous landlord do such a thing, and this comes after raising our rent recently when we were already struggling to pay our bills. Needless to stay, this has put a considerable amount of stress on our family, and we are at a real low point. Of course, we know almost every person, those we know and don't, are struggling financially at this point in time. We feel pretty awful about asking for help. But no matter what we've tried to come up with, we don't seem to have a choice. So we are asking if you cannot donate then please share our link so that those who can will see it.
