Urgent Need to retain my house or raise a deposit

the landlord refused partial payment. We have another week to find a home, but application fees are killing me. We need to make deposit and application fees

Hi I am Andrea and this is my story.

I lost my job last June due to working on building schools and clinics in crisis areas for women and girls and when the NATO/US alliance left the region I was working in all the funding dried up.

while job hunting extensively I finished my second masters, and finally found work last month.

even though I sold everything I could and used up all my savings, and unemployment, I simply couldn’t make rent. I can’t find housing in time. We only had five days and 2 are weekend. I will have to pay the landlord all the back rent due. He wants 12.6 thousand dollars.

I am raising funds for emergency relocation so myself, my kids, and our pets don’t end up homeless.

I finally found a job, but it took so long that my landlord took me to court, and I have a court-ordered move-out date.

2 of my kids are special needs, who make it very difficult to live with any kind of roommate. Most roommates do not want holes poked in the walls and sonic screams every hour or so.

we are a cat, a hamster, and 3 kids. I can find a place, but I need more time and the boys will not respond well to a move in the middle of the school year. They are all very schedule oriented and disrupting it means severe distress.

even risking getting evicted puts me at risk of my x husband taking me to court, an expense I can’t afford if I can’t afford rent. I certainly can’t afford a family law lawyer. My fear is so intense I can barely breathe.

I have never been homeless and I have CPTSD, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. which makes this entire housing crisis that much harder to handle. The anxiety is unreal.

Even though I searched the few days I had I didn’t find housing in time so my options are the shelter or pay the rent owed. Or at least a big portion of it.

Please help keep us out of a shelter. And keep my family together
