Urgent Need For Electric Wheelchair for my Mom

Asalamu Alaykum/ Hello everyone. I first want to start out by saying Jazakallahu khair/thank you to anyone who decides to help with getting my mom this electric wheelchair. You have no idea how much this would help her and it makes me so sad to see my mom pushing herself over her limit working so hard to make sure that myself and my brothers are always taken care of. Getting her this electric wheelchair would mean everything to me as she would not have to physically push herself so hard exhausting her body to the limit.

As you may know or if you do not know, my mom has been 24 hour oxygen dependent for 4 years. Due to the damage done over 10 years, she actually had one of the most severe cases the doctors have seen. She found out she has Severe hypersensitivity pneumonitis, Hypoxia, acute hypoxemic respiratory failure, and chronic respiratory failure. Due to all of her health issues she can barely walk and is also wheelchair bound.

My mom has done everything she can by herself always for our family and still does every single day. Despite all her health issues, she gives her all to her family and students every single year and every single day no matter how she is feeling.

Insurance will not cover an electric wheelchair for her. Since my mom is wheelchair bound, she has many difficulties that leave her extremely tired by the end of the day. She doesn't walk in her classroom, and sits down due to her health issues, but things such as going to the bathroom and getting to the car and out of the car, which she has to use her body to push herself in her wheelchair takes a toll and exhausts her. It makes it more difficult since it depletes her oxygen. Getting an electric wheelchair would make her moving around so much more easier and automated and remove the hassle of having to manually push herself and use her strength.

I have been searching over a year on fb marketplace and used foldable electric wheel chairs are like 650 to over 1,000, but they are either not working or in need of something. They also do not come with a warranty and are not specifically able to fold to fit in the car. With buying one, we at least know nothing is wrong with it and have the guarantee to be able to have something fixed with the warranty if ever needed.

I would be beyond grateful and my entire family to any person who decides to help with getting my mom this electric wheelchair.
