Frederico and his wife and two teenage daughters escaped violence in South America a few years ago and have been steadily building a life in the Washington DC area. They are in the process of seeking asylum and have a hearing next month. However, they are urgently seeking $1,000 in order to pay for the cost of certified translations of documents they need to submit for their asylum application.
