If you see this, I hope you are staying healthy and well at this time. Hi, my name is Nisha and I am trying to raise money for my best friend's kidney transplant.

My best friend, Shaila Sumi, is the strongest person I know. She managed to raise her two daughters, take care of her ill parents who reside with her, and support her three younger sisters and their families, while being the only earner in her family. Alongside this, she also went to college to get her Master's Degree and is working to financially support all of them.

A few years ago, she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called IgA nephropathy which resides in her kidney, inflaming her kidney and prohibiting its function to filter the waste in her blood. Over the years, this disease has slowly worsened and has left her kidney incredibly weak at below 9%. For this, she needs a kidney transplant.

Recently, she managed to get a matching donor, which happened to be one of the most relieving moments for us. But her transplant will be taking place in Delhi, India. In order for this process to go through, she has to pay approximately 70,000 US dollars for now but I am sure it will go way more than that. This includes her fees for the cost of her travel to India, her stay there for approximately 3 months (or more), and the transplant in Asian Hospital Faridabad. My goal is to raise as much money as I can to help her out as she goes through this life-threatening process.

Shaila Sumi is a single mother who worked all her life to support everyone she loves. She has survived every storm, but unfortunately, she desperately needs this kidney transplant.
