Urgent Move for Waylon's Medical Needs
Donation protected

Hi, my name is Danielle France. I am the mother of Waylon he was born on 4/10/2024. The start of life for him as not been easy. NICU stay since day 1. He was then released on 4/17. He stayed with his father, his 4 other siblings and I for 2 days. By 4/20 my mother noticed his toes broke out in red marks all over. We immediately took him back to the ER. Later that day we were transferred to UW Madison Children's hospital. His platelets were low, so was his red and white blood count. His kidney stopped functioning and doctors had no idea what was going on. He is still currently at the NICU, he has had numerous blood drawn, 2 spinal draws, a bone marrow draw, skin biopsy and will be under going a kidney biopsy. My husband and I finally got his diagnosis aHUS (aHUS (atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome) is a very rare genetic disease that causes tiny blood clots to form in your blood vessels, blocking blood flow to important organs). It's a life long condition he will need to be on IV meds for the rest of his life. So my family made the decision to move closer to the hospital so we can give Waylon the best chance of surviving this. It has been a long battle to get this far and my family will do anything in our power to help him. The funds I'm asking for is to help with moving costs to get us closer to the hospital for him on short notice. My husband is the only one working currently and with the short notice (need to be moving by May 31st the soonest) we don't have time to save on top of paying for our needs and our other children's needs.
If you can't donate a share will go along way and we will appreciate anything. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this.
UPDATE: As of 4/9/2024 he was also diagnosed with TMA and also has brain damage in his white matter. There may be gross motor and fine motor issues for later in his life.
