Hello, my name is Candace Nola, indie horror author and community supporter. I am setting this GoFundMe page up on behalf of Kristopher Rufty, author and a long-time member of the indie horror community.

Krist is a friend to many in the community and is a wonderful father to his kids, one of whom is in college, the other still in grade school.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, the house he has been renting for several years has been suddenly sold and he is faced with an urgent need to move his family before the end of this month.

With the urgent need and short timeframe, we are hoping to be able to raise enough money to help him find a decent place to rent for his family, which will entail a deposit and first month's rent (possibly last month's rent, too), as well as funds for a moving truck, and any immediate supplies/deposits to set up the new house with food and utilities such as internet access.

Any amount helps, and any sharing of this campaign is greatly appreciated. Time is short and the need is very urgent to help this single father and his children move to safe housing by month end. All funds will go directly to his account.

I've seen what this community can do, more than once. I'm hoping we can do it again!
