Zain was born with Hirschsprung's disease, a condition that left him without normal nerve development in his colon and unable to pass stool naturally. He has had five surgeries in Gaza, the most recent creating a new stoma opening on his abdomen, but his suffering hasn't stopped.

He urgently needs specialized treatment and surgery abroad, as the resources he needs aren't available in Gaza.

Today, Zain lives with constant inflammation, swelling, leakage, and pain around his stoma. Even simple things like changing his diaper terrify him because of the pain involved.

Zain's family has lost their home and now lives in a damaged tent in Khan Younis. His father, Khalil, is fighting to get his son the care he needs while struggling daily to find food, clean water, and basic medical supplies like stoma bags and diapers.
