My name is Nasir Khan and I’m reaching out in one of the most difficult times of my life. What started on May 3rd as sudden chest pain has spiraled into a life-threatening medical crisis that is still ongoing.

MEDICAL JOURNEY SO FAR

• May 3 – Severe chest pain, vomiting, fever, and chills. Initially thought to be gas or acidity.

• May 9 – Health check revealed slightly high sugar. Medication and diet started, but pain persisted.

• May 21 – Heart specialist visit. New tests revealed obstructive jaundice, kidney complications, and gallbladder stones.

• June 3–5 – Pain worsened; condition became critical. Rushed to ICU.

• June 8–9 – Shifted to Bangalore Hospital for emergency surgery (June 9). Alhamdulillah, surgery was successful.

• June 10–12 – Transferred back to Confido Hospital for recovery. Discharged on June 12.

⚠️ CURRENT SITUATION:

Although the surgery saved my life, I am still not out of danger. I am living with a stent inside my body that urgently needs removal, along with ongoing tests, medicines, and follow-up care. Without timely treatment, there is a serious risk of infection, relapse, or further complications.

FINANCIAL BURDEN

So far, we have already spent INR 430, 000 all of it borrowed. This covered hospital stays, ICU, surgery, tests, and medicines but the costs are still rising every single day with:

• Immediate procedures (stent removal, follow-ups)

• Ongoing medicines and medical care

• Debt repayment from money borrowed to save my life

On top of this, my problems have left me completely unable to work. Since this began, my income has dropped to zero, and doctors say I won’t be able to return to work for another 2-3 months until I fully recover. Yet I still have to cover rent, food and vehicle expenses just to keep my household going.

And most painfully — I am a father of two school going children in middle school. I already have arrears in their school fees, and unless I can clear them, they will not be allowed to write their exams. Their education and future are at stake.
