Urgent Medical Help for Rescued Kitten by Leah

My name is Leah and this morning my fiancé and I found ourselves in an interesting predicament. We heard meows of a small kitten last night (8/12) and tried to get the kitten to remove itself from the inside of the cars engine space. We had no luck. This morning (8/13) I went to go put a note on the car to inform the owner and see what I could do, and found the car surrounded by Bayonne firefighters and a police officer.

They worked hard, removing parts of the car with a crew of 10 and the help of the neighborhood and were able to get this little male kitten out after an hour of work. Unfortunately, no one in the area can keep him and he was separated from his mother and siblings. Since my fiancé works for the Dodo and we are avid animal lovers, we decided to foster in the mean time and search for a rescue.

Unfortunately for him, he needs immediate medical attention for his eyes which are in bad shape and for bloodwork to ensure he is not sick with anything transferable to our other animals.

What makes this so unfortunate is that I was recently laid off due to restructuring and am currently job searching without an income. As a result, we cannot afford the medical care this kitten needs while we search for a rescue.

Due to our current circumstances we are asking for any monetary help getting this little boy to the vet immediately to avoid permanent eye damage. Any amount helps and we are grateful for any assistance we can get regarding this matter to ensure he has a bright future with a family ahead.
