Both were rescued just in time – hungry, hurting, yet still brave enough to trust human hands. Their purrs, gentle meows, and tiny sparks of joy remind us daily: they want to live. They want to heal.

But healing comes with a price – not just of medicine, but of safe spaces, good food, and round-the-clock care. Milo must remain isolated to keep his fragile eyes safe, and with no cat-free fosters in Dubai, we have no choice but to board him at a cost of 50 AED (£10.80) per day. Twix has already endured 18 days of intensive wound care and veterinary attention, and ongoing support is still needed.

We rescued Milo around two weeks ago. He arrived weak, malnourished, and suffering from a long-standing eye disease, possibly herpes-related. His vision is still unresponsive, and the prognosis is uncertain – but Milo refuses to stop fighting.

Despite everything, this brave little boy purrs when fed, plays when given toys, and leans into every gentle touch as if he knows help has finally arrived.
