Hi there, we've never done this before. I am a combat vet and we have Tricare Overseas. My family and I made a decision to relocate to SE Asia for the sole purpose of helping human trafficking survivors. We were blessed with triplets.
The issue we're running into is Tricare Overseas is healthcare that requires you to pay for medical needs upfront. The hospital in SE Asia requires you to pay all inpatient visits upfront.
Last week, our daughter (baby C) was inpatient for measles and pneumonia.
This week, baby A has been admitted for inpatient care for measles, encephalitis, pneumonia, and an ear infection. He needs to stay in the hospital for a minimum of three days. We're also looking at secondary insurance that will pay upfront.
The costs for the inpatient care are $800 a day, and the yearly cost for a secondary health insurance plan is $5,000-$7,000.
We are using minimal details and going through a family member, for the purposes of maintaining privacy and safety!
Please help us! Thank you!
