Tasha’Hi there, my name is Christina Foucherday, and I am starting a GoFundMe on behalf of my niece, Tasha FoucherBranch. She is 55 years old. My niece was diagnosed on March 3, 2026, with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). This diagnosis is very, very hard on our family, and the disease is very aggressive.

We have started this GoFundMe to help with a medical flight from Chicago to San Diego ASAP. My niece has a story. Her story is short and brief! She went into the hospital on February 8 for hip replacement surgery, and while in Shirley Ryan Rehab, she developed breathing complications. She was rushed back to the University of Chicago Medicine with respiratory failure, where she was diagnosed with ALS. We have reached out to several organizations to help. No one seems to have funding.

We want her to be transferred to San Diego, California, so that her family can provide her with specialized research therapy at the University of San Diego Medicine and care for her in a stabilized environment at the family home! We as a family are completely devastated and want to get her a medical flight to San Diego ASAP!
