Urgent Medical Care Needed to Keep Breathing!

Hi Friends,

My name is Danielle and I am asking for help to cover the cost of a medical device and post-op treatment that will help me keep breathing!

Just before the lockdown, I was diagnosed with tongue-tie, which was causing my airways to constrict- a frightening and painful experience! I had 2 surgeries done to correct it during the quarantine. Because this corrective procedure was not in medical practice when I was an infant, my entire body developed into adulthood around this condition, and my body rejected the surgeries, causing me severe nausea 24/7, vomiting, and inability to eat, drink or ambulate properly. Unfortunately, the surgeries caused my already narrow airways to become even narrower.

Tens of thousands of dollars worth of physical therapy, specialist care, and friends helping to sustain me throughout later, I am now in need of a specific type of palette expander and jaw guard that will cause my airways to manually develop properly and appropriately for my age, align my jaw so that I will no longer be in pain as well as have to exert so much effort to breath properly, and help me to continue doing what I love- and most importantly, keep breathing!! The situation is urgent and dire as it has been affecting every function of my body, and anything you can give to help would be extraordinarily helpful and appreciated immensely.

Because time is of the essence, anyone who is able to donate $1,000 or more will be entitled to services I offer of your choice as a thank you (either Pilates package sessions, yoga+ meditation package sessions, foreign language tutoring package sessions, a painting as I’m professionally trained, and I am a school teacher as well who is great with kids and I’d be happy to do face painting or henna tattoos for kids’ birthday parties as a thank you as well, if not homework help/tutoring instead ;). Virtually or in-person, whichever is feasible.

If you or someone you know has a child or know an adult with tongue-tie, I’m hoping that this will additionally spread awareness to have it corrected sooner than later, because as you can see, treatment is very costly! Doctors in the USA who are educated on this condition are scarce and I’m happy to give direction towards doctors who can help.

My hope is to be able to function at an optimal level and with independence- anything you can donate helps me to get closer to that goal. The goal dollar amount is such with the help of insurance.
