Urgent Medical Care & Daily Support for Rescued Animals

Several of my rescued animals (dogs & cats) need urgent medical care, even surgery & expensive medication.

I also need funds to keep rescuing & caring for dogs & kitties who were abandoned or otherwise at risk of dying or having a very poor quality of life or who would simply be in the streets or euthanized at a shelter since all the formal rescues & shelters are full at this time.

Last week, I rescued 11 kittens & a nursing mama cat from Tuesday through Sunday from homeless camps, abandoned in the woods & displaced in a stranger’s yard, some of whom had respiratory & eye infections & needed antibiotics & vet visits & all who need treatment for fleas & worms.

The most urgent case is a dog, Nala, whom I rescued from a young lady experiencing homelessness with mental problems & who lived in the local cemetery & who died from fentanyl last summer. Nala, has a broken jaw and she needs X-rays, a blood panel to ensure she is safe to be anesthetized & extensive surgery, which has been estimated to cost a few thousand dollars. She is suffering & in pain & if she can’t receive this surgery, she may have to be put to sleep.

Many of you remember Thomas, the orange cat for whom I did a GoFundMe last February & who had double eye surgery, which many of you helped pay for. Thomas needed a second procedure for which I still owe & which was $1100. Because hair grew around his eyes & were scratching his cornea. They were removed & cauterized. Thomas now needs a third procedure & this should be a more long-term benefit. It’s not uncommon that this type of eye injury needs 2 or 4 follow-up procedures to heal the eye completely.

Feeding & proper care for 24 felines & 6 dogs cost several hundred dollars per month & that’s before any veterinary bills. I have been paying for this myself but it is now causing financial hardship & I need your help from our community of animal lovers.
