Urgent medical and safety fund for beautiful Sienna

Hi everyone,
I am reaching out to rally around an incredible local family in the trenches of a severe medical crisis.
My beautiful friend Jackii Cox is a devoted mum doing everything she can to support her family through an incredibly challenging time.

Anyone who knows Jackii knows how fiercely independent she is. She is always the first to help others and would never ask for herself. But this isn't about pride anymore—this is her 4-year-old daughter Sienna's life we are talking about.
Jackii manages a deeply complex household. Of her five children, three have profound neurodivergent needs. While she already provides intensive daily care for two older children at home with Level 2 Autism, PDA, and severe anxiety, her youngest, Sienna Rose, is now facing an acute medical emergency.
Sienna lives with Level 3 Autism, severe Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), ADHD, and ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). Her severe sensory processing issues and eating disorder mean her body completely rejects solid foods, leaving her physically exhausted and suffering painful blood sugar crashes.
Because her medical situation has become critical, her specialists at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, are taking immediate action. Sienna is booked for a major combined surgery under general anaesthetic: an exploratory endoscopy followed immediately by gastrostomy surgery (PEG feeding button placement).
While this procedure is a life-saving blessing, managing a feeding tube with Sienna's severe Level 3 Autism and sensory over-responsiveness is an immense safety challenge. She is at an incredibly high risk of panicking and forcibly pulling the lines out, which would cause an immediate medical emergency.

While we’ve had the amazing news that her basic medical formulas will be funded, Jackii faces massive out-of-pocket costs to keep Sienna safe and get her through this transition. We are urgently raising funds to cover:

Specialist Feeding Wheelchair:
To provide the secure, upright posture required to safely digest her tube feeds without reflux, and to keep her body stable and safe when she becomes highly dysregulated or aggressive. (She needs this the second she leaves surgery and cannot wait months for paperwork approvals).

Specialised Tummy-Access Sensory Clothing:
Custom adaptive onesies (like Wonsies) and protective PEG belts designed to prevent her from reaching under her clothes to pull at the lines.

Travel & Bedside Expenses:
Fuel, highway tolls, parking at Randwick, and food for Jackii while she stays 24/7 at Sienna's bedside on the ward.

Home Transition Setup:
High-volume laundry costs, heavy-duty waterproof bedding protection, and sterile equipment storage. When you set up her sanitary station at home, it usually includes:

A Dedicated Sterile Workspace:
A specific countertop or table that is thoroughly bleached and wiped down with medical-grade antiseptic wipes before every single feed or medication dose. No household items, keys, or normal groceries are allowed to sit in this zone.

Sterile Storage Tubs:
Large, clear plastic storage containers with airtight lids used exclusively to hold her sterile syringes, extension sets, flush bottles, and PEG accessories so they stay completely free from dust, pet hair, or kitchen grease.

Syringe Washing & Drying Rack:
A specialised rack (often a clean bottle-drying rack used only for her) where her washed medication and flush syringes can air-dry upside down without touching a normal, everyday tea towel.

Hand Sanitizer & Clinical Prep Supplies:
A bulk pump bottle of hospital-grade hand sanitizer, medical gloves, and skin barrier wipes stored right where you need them.
We cannot take away the stress of a mother watching her child go into surgery, but we can take away the crushing financial pressure so Jackii can focus entirely on helping her little girl heal.
Every single dollar raised goes directly to Sienna’s vital safety equipment, specialized adaptive clothing, and hospital travel costs to keep this family afloat.
If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this page. Let’s show Jackii and her beautiful kids that they do not have to carry this heavy load alone.
Thank you from the bottom of our heart
