Hello, my name is Chedi and I’m raising funds for a former classmate who is a single mother living in Kakuma Refugee Camp, where I once lived myself.
I know firsthand how difficult life is in Kakuma. I spent part of my own life in the camp, and the experience was horrific. Refugees there face unimaginable hardships: extreme heat, overcrowding, lack of food, limited medical care, and little hope for opportunity. Living there taught me both the harsh reality of displacement and the strength it takes to survive it.
Today, I’m using my voice and platform to support a courageous woman who is facing even more than most. She is a single mother in Kakuma, living with a serious medical condition and trying to care for her children with almost no resources. She needs urgent medical support, as well as help with basic needs like food, clothing, and access to hygiene and healthcare.
