My 8 month old nephew Monith is in desperate need for a liver transplant.
He will not make it if he doesn’t have surgery in a month.
He was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia which is a gastrointestinal disorder. He is unable to digest fats and was born without a gallbladder.
Monith lives in Andhra Pradesh, India where health care is not as readily accessible as it is in the United States. Our family has already exhausted whatever funds we’ve had to pay for his previous surgeries including Kasai Portoentersostomy (which helps with the digestion of food and fats.) It unfortunately led to recurring and overlapping severe infections.
His liver is no longer functioning. Our family has spent and taken out loans to pay for his previous surgery which cost about $20,000. We are not financially capable of paying for the liver transplant. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
