My 3 year old dog needs surgery within days or she will pass away. Financially, my family and I cannot afford the surgery for her. She has a high chance of a 100% recovery after surgery and I want to give her that option to survive, but I cannot do this without donations to cover a significant amount of the surgery. If I do not raise enough, I will put the money towards our current vet bills and to get her cremated. She has an abscess or tumor on her pancreas, but most likely an abscess with a high chance of full recovery. If a tumor, she still has a high chance of fully recovering, and the odds of it being cancerous are very low. She is currently still happy and comfortable, we will not make the had decision or surgery or euthanasia until we see her decline.
Absolutely *any amount* donated helps! Please share, mention, and pass around this fundraiser to anyone and everyone you can. My family and I will be grateful for every $1. Her current medical bills are at $4,200. The surgery will cost $13,000-15,000. It could go up if she needs more than 2 days in the ICU to recover. Venmo @Monica-Marsan or paypal.me/MonicaMarsan are also options to send money.
Luna is a 3 year old poodle mix. She is so young, happy, playful, and full of life. Last Thursday (Dec 2nd) , she started to become lethargic. She went to our regular vet on the 4th. She has a 104 degree fever and had a few tests done. We discovered there were 10x the amount of normal liver values in her blood results as well as high white cell count. We were sent home with antibiotics, but her fever quickly started to rise again and we had to take her to an emergency animal hospital on Tuesday the 7th. She stayed overnight and had many tests and an ultrasound done. We found out the next day that she needs this surgery to survive.
Currently, we will be bringing Luna home from the hospital and keeping her comfortable for as long as possible. If we don’t raise enough money, my family and I will have to make the hard decision to let her go humanely at signs of decline. We would have a vet come to our house to do that. If by a miracle through the generosity of donations, we can afford the surgery while she is still comfortable, we will get her back to the hospital and scheduled for surgery immediately.
