Hi, I’m Kamali and I’m reaching out because my dog — my Chucho — is really sick.

Those of you that know him know his crazy personality. Whether he’s galloping down my hallway like a horse, or playfully jumping on any friendly human he encounters. Up until a few days ago, he was happy, playful, and healthy. But suddenly he started vomiting, became lethargic, and stopped eating or drinking. I rushed him to the vet as soon as I could, and after bloodwork and exams, they told me he’s suffering from pancreatitis — a very painful and dangerous condition that can be life-threatening if not treated right away. I was also told they needed to do an X-ray to make sure there were no blockages.

They gave me a treatment estimate of over $4,000, and I’ve exhausted every single option I have. I’ve called every clinic, applied for Care Credit, and reached out to pet charities. Nothing has come through fast enough, and time is not on our side.

Right now, he needs:

• IV fluids to prevent organ failure

• Anti-nausea and pain medication

• Monitoring and follow-up care

All money raised is going directly to doctor bills as medication and surgery are unfortunately in his near future.

Even stabilizing him is more than I can afford today. I have already informed the vet that I am able to pay at least $1,500 today and I’ll have more by the end of the month, but I don’t want to wait and risk losing him. Unfortunately, most vet clinics rely heavily on Care Credit, so payment plans are not an option.

He’s still fighting. He looks up at me when I say his name. His tail still wags. I can’t give up on him — and I’m asking for help from anyone who sees this. Even $5 means the world to us right now.

6/13/25

After a long day at the vet x rays are showing the signs of a drastically swollen and enlarged spleen. The vet allowed him to come home however we will be back at 8:30am tomorrow for the remainder of bloodwork. It is more likely that a surgery will have to be performed in order to help my sweet boy out. I will continue to update as i learn any new information.

UPDATE: 6/23/2025

Chucho has a perforated intestine due to a foreign body inside his intestinal tract. The vet has given me a surgery quote of over $9k.
