We are urgently looking for your help and support for our friend and relative, Biruk Kassahun. Many of us got to know Biruk as a classmate in UWC Robert Bosch College '16 or Luther College '20. In May, Biruk was apprehended by the Texas Police and has been held since in Dallas County Jail. Biruk is charged with arson, first degree, and assault - charges that could possibly result in a serious long-term sentences.

Despite these serious charges, Biruk has been struggling to get proper legal counsel. Moreover, the conditions in jail are suffocating and Biruk has already been waiting for more than a year.
