URGENT Legal Fees Needed for CO Youth Activists

On January 9th, 2020 The Sunrise Movement youth sang in the capitol to ask Governor Polis to account for the thousands of Coloradans who are poisoned every day by toxic fumes and contaminated water caused by fracking. They wanted to show that young people care deeply about this issue and want their government to protect their lives.
Instead, 24 activists were escorted out of the capitol and arrested. These activists spent over 24 hours in jail for peacefully singing for their right to a livable future. Donate to help these youth activists with legal representation.
Their demands of Governor Polis were the following:
1. Declare a Climate Emergency
2. Immediately stop fracking at Bella Romero
3. Stop all fossil fuel development in Colorado by 2025
4. Cease all new oil and gas permits
5. Ensure a just transition that prioritizes marginalized populations suffering most from climate injustice
