The Saavedra Monroy family (Karina, Daniel, Rotman (17), Maite (14), and Zohar (8)) arrived in Baltimore in late 2024 from Mexico City, fleeing difficult circumstances and hoping to build a better future for their children. Since their arrival, they’ve become active members of our community—helping with food distributions, volunteering at Christmas events, and participating in festivals like Día del Niño. They are a family who gives, even while in need.

Now, they urgently need our help.

Karina, Daniel, Rotman, Maite, and Zohar, are facing immigration court, and without legal representation, they are at serious risk of deportation. Because they have been in the U.S. for less than one year, the law does not offer many protections without an experienced immigration attorney by their side. They are fighting to stay together, to stay safe, and to stay in a place where they have already begun to serve and belong.

La familia Saavedra Monroy llegó a Baltimore a finales del año 2024 desde la Ciudad de México, buscando refugio y un futuro mejor para sus hijos. Desde su llegada, han sido parte activa de nuestra comunidad: ayudando en la distribución de alimentos, siendo voluntarios en eventos navideños, y participando en festivales como el Día del Niño. Son una familia que da, incluso en medio de la necesidad.

Karina, Daniel, Rotman, Maite, and Zohar, estan enfrentando una cita en la corte de inmigración, y sin representación legal corren el grave riesgo de ser deportados. Debido a que llevan menos de un año en los Estados Unidos, la ley no les ofrece muchas protecciones si no cuentan con un abogado con experiencia a su lado.
