I’m reaching out with heavy news about my little brother and his girlfriend’s sweet cat, Kiki.

Kiki recently gave birth to her kittens, but complications quickly turned what should’ve been a joyful time into a nightmare. She didn’t expel all of the placenta, which caused a severe infection. She was rushed into emergency surgery with only a 25–50% chance of survival — and by a miracle, she made it through.

But Kiki is still fighting for her life.

She’s now in critical condition and the vets say she needs a blood transfusion to survive. Her little body is exhausted, and her family is doing everything they can — emotionally and financially — to save her. The medical bills are rising fast, and they’ve already spent everything they have just to get her this far.

Kiki is more than just a pet. She’s family. She’s a first-time mama, and her newborn kittens need her now more than ever.
