Update: Sept 4th - Kannon

Thanks to your donations, we were able to pay our rent yesterday, as well as pay off all electric and internet/phone bills.

Additionally, we turned out to have a credit on our rent payments worth $847! We had been waiting on our apt mgr to confirm it and tell us exactly how much. So, thanks to this, and to all your help we have a head-start towards October's rent!

Hey everybody! I finally got hired! I'll be a cashier at our local grocery store! The hours and pay are amazing, and I'm excited to be starting this new journey!

Having said that, I don't know when I'm getting my first paycheck, and we are still behind on rent and bills for September. (We've got $394 so far towards rent [955] and bills [about 300 more].) So please please share our link, and donate if you can!

Hey everybody! We've got September rent coming up, as well as internet/house phone, my cell phone, and electric. We're $37.15 overdue from last month on internet/phone, and then we've got an internet bill of $132.20 due on 8/26. I've signed us up with CenturyLink for next month, so I can get the Lifeline discount, and the STEP program at the unemployment office helps us with $50 of that every month.

I am actively pursuing employment, and we are actively marketing Kannon's herbal business to the best of our ability. So if you'd like to go over to Kannon McAfee's page and find out more, please do!

Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to pay rent early (yesterday) and have some left for bills.

Update: July 12

After paying rent and bills due July 1st/end of June, we had donated funds left totaling $421 towards rent ($955) due August 1st. That leaves us needing at least $534 to pay rent.

The month is nearly halfway over and as we look for work and sources of income we can use any help you can give us.

I'm Kannon, a community herbalist in East Portland. My wife, Heather, and I are short (roughly $120) of the money we need to pay our rent for July (1st) and have electric, phone, and internet bills (totaling $341) due before the end of June.

Heather was let go from her job on June 20th, and that leaves us short of what we need to pay our rent and these bills. We don't want our electricity, internet, or phone shut off, which would really impede our ability to look for work and function.

Being an herbalist, I've got a significant herbal medicine inventory. So I am happy to compensate anyone who contributes money with an herbal medicine consultation and/or herbal extracts, etc.
