My name is Jennifer, and I'm a truck driver seeking help to cover out-of-pocket expenses for surgery on my vagina, called a "Labiaplasty". Its a bit embarrassing to really talk about, but Im hoping support comes through. Warning: example images you may find online are graphic, but my case seems to be more severe than others that undergo the surgery. I need surgery to have excess tissue removed, as daily life has become so uncomfortable, especially sitting and driving for many hours a day for work. I made a week's worth of phone calls to every surgeon within driving distance, seeking out the most affordable Clinic. I settled on a clinic in Redding, California a few hours away with the most affordable rate, quoting me at roughly $5,000 ( low for West Coast pricing ). My first appointment is March 27th! I do have a medical credit card with $2,200 of availability. So the rest of the cost, $3,800, is what will be required of me out of pocket. I am responsible financially, but like most other truck drivers, I am financially head of household. So my budget is tight. It is extremely rare for medical insurance companies to deem labioplasties medically necessary, so it's up to me to foot the bill.
