We (Brothers of the patient) are raising your love and support for Fahad Al Hossain, who is currently fighting for his life in the ICU in Dhaka, Bangladesh due to Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS).
About Fahad:
Fahad is only 25 years old and admitted to the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital (NINS), Agargaon, Dhaka. He has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) — a rare and life-threatening neurological condition that causes rapid muscle weakness, facial paralysis, and difficulty in swallowing and breathing. His condition is critical and requires continuous ICU care.
Treatment Details:
Initially, Fahad was treated with Normoglobin injections, but his condition did not improve. Doctors have now switched him to a stronger and much more expensive medication called Human Normal Immunoglobulin (Kedrion Biopharma, Italy).
• Each dose costs 26,300 BDT (£161 / €185 / $215)
• Current daily ICU treatment costs are approximately 289,300 BDT (£1,773 / €2,031 / $2,365)
So far, with the help of family, friends, and online support, 111,738 BDT (£685 / €784 / $913) has been collected — but this is far from enough to continue the life-saving treatment.
