Hi, my name is Sheila and I am doing a fundraiser for my best friend's Dad, Joseph or Jokjok as he’s fondly called.

My dear friend Joan and her family are facing an incredibly difficult time. Just recently, their family was involved in an accident that left them with significant financial burdens from the damages. They were still trying to recover from that incident when life dealt them another heartbreaking blow.

Only days after the accident, Joan’s father began experiencing severe swelling in his legs and had to be admitted to the hospital. While undergoing treatment, his condition suddenly worsened as he developed difficulty breathing and was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Joan’s dad is a kind-hearted man who works in a provincial hospital back home. He is known by colleagues, friends, and neighbours for his warmth, friendliness, and willingness to help anyone in need. He has always been a strong foundation for his family, both emotionally and financially.

Now, he urgently needs our help. The cost of ICU care, treatments, and ongoing hospital bills is overwhelming for their family. Joan, who is working here in the UK, has been doing everything she can to support them from overseas, but the expenses are far beyond what she can manage alone.

I am setting up this fundraiser to help cover the mounting medical costs so Joan’s dad can get the treatment he desperately needs without the family having to worry about how to pay for it.
